Manuscripts on literature and folklore from A. K. Kazem-Beck’s collection
Abstract
A. K. Kazem-Beck collected a rich collection of oriental manuscripts, which later became the basis for the formation of the library’s collection in Oriental Department of St. Petersburg University. The library received about three hundred works from the collection of A. K. Kazem-Beck. There were oriental manuscripts on various topics — theology, history, literature, folklore and others. We have examined the manuscripts devoted to literature and folklore from the collection of A. K. Kazem-Beck. In this article we tried to systematize the part of the collection of manuscripts A. K. Kazem-Beck devoted to literature and folklore. Study and description of manuscripts from the library of the Department of Asian and African Studies in St. Petersburg State University is an interesting and relevant issue. Refs 4. Figs 15.
