On delimitation of the participles in the Old Uighur language
Abstract
The article provides a description of the verbal nomina of the Old Uighur language. These verb forms, traditionally regarded as the Participle, should be divided into Participle and substantive-adjective forms. In the Old Uygur language forms -dačy,-γučy,-γma,-γly should be classifi ed as the adjective forms (Participle). Forms -r,-γalyr,-myš,-duq,-juq,-γu,-γuluq,-syq should be classifi ed as substantiveadjective verb forms.
