Abstract

The article discusses some events in the life of the famous Qing dynasty poet Huang Jingren. He was greatly influenced by the Tang dynasty which represented the Golden Age of Chinese Poetry, especially by its most outstanding poet Li Bo. Huang Jingren was even called the Qing Li Bo. The two poets were very close on both poetic and spiritual levels; hence numerous references to Li Bo’s poetry in Huang’s lyrical poems. The article gives a detailed analysis of Huang’s most famous poem “Li Bo’s grave” which was devoted to the memory of the latter.
