Notes on history of the first Korean translation of the New Testament

Аннотация

В статье прослеживается история создания текста первого полного перевода Нового Завета на корейский язык, охватывающая период с 1876 г. по 1887 г., рассматриваются особенности процесса перевода, а также затрагивается тема атрибуции авторства перевода, на настоящее время представляющая собой открытый вопрос. Официальным автором перевода считается протестантский миссионер из Объединенной пресвитерианской церкви Шотландии Джон Росс, однако при внимательном изучении истории перевода данного текста становится очевидным, что существенную роль в процессе сыграли корейские переводчики, чьи имена в значительной мере остаются неизвестными до сих пор.
