International support of peace-keeping eff orts in the DR Congo during the transition period (2003–2006 гг.)
Abstract
The named subject is widely discussed by a number of foreign researchers. Some of them find that the role of the international community is negative, since the Western countries have established the full control over the democratization process in the country. As opposed to them, other researchers are welcoming the coordination of international efforts for the country stabilization during the transition period (2003–2005) and argue that without this control the situation would have turned to chaos and bloodshed. The author has made an attempt to clarify this issue basing on field research performed in the DR Congo.
