Women’s property rights in the inheritance regime of imperial China (Tang-Song dynasties)
Abstract
Women’s property rights in the inheritance regime of imperial China is a very complex issue, the Tang-Song laws had a mixed eff ect on female’s inheritance rights expanding them in some situations, but contracting them in others. The article contains a review of the main forms of indirect inheritance by women.
