Category of declension in Ancient Uighur

Abstract

The article represents a tentative analysis of the category of declension in Ancient Uighur (VII–XIV) based on functional-semantic method. The category of declension in Ancient Uighur includes 7 cases. The article pays special attention to the form –(y)n which represents instrumental and accusative aft er possessive suffixes.
