Dynamics of thematic changes of Turkish qita in the 15–18th centuries
Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of thematic changes of Turkish qita in the 15–18 th centuries. On the basis of more than 1000 qita it was proved that love lyrics, philosophical and didactic lyrics and tarikhs are subjects of the most significant thematic changes which happened mainly in the 17th century when all genres of the Turkish literature were much transformed. Up to the 17th century qita generally presented love lyrics, while since the 17th century qitas mostly included chronograms and were tarikhs. The 17th century also witnessed the raise of popularity of philosophical and didactic lyrics in the form of qita.
