“Сhristian century” in Japan as a transitional period to a new foreign and domestic policy.
Abstract
The article is devoted to Japanese relations with Europeans and completely new for Japanese Christian religion. The main goal of the article is a representation of a changing attitude to missionaries as internal destabilizing source in Japanese society disappeared. Also, it is important to show Europeans impact on Japanese mentality and reveal its impact on foreign (invasions of Korea) and domestic (sakoku seisaku) policy examples.
