On the substantive form of the verb in Karachay-Balkar language
Abstract
The material of the Karachay-Balkar language confirms the thesis, according to which verbs in the Turkic languages are the historical source of a number of verb forms, particularly the tense forms. According to the concept shared by the author of this article, communicative purpose of the components of the statements, expressed by nominal forms of verbs, coincides with the communicative purpose of conjunctional subordinate clauses of the Indo-European languages.
