Russia and Japan: the 1875 St Petersburg Treaty
Abstract
The history of Russian—Japanese relations in late 1860s — mid-1870s is reviewed. Negotiations of 1874–1875 are analyzed. The evolvement of the Russian—Japanese relations from the 1867 Temporary Agreement to the 1875 St Petersburg Treaty is described.
