Аннотация

Когда мы имеем дело с памятником, где изобразительность и надпись соседствуют, неизменно возникает вопрос: насколько текст и изображение соответствуют друг другу. Может ли текст пояснять изображение, а изображение — иллюстрировать текст? В Месопотамии в середине II тыс. до н. э. божества, изображаемые на печатях, были лишены своих атрибутов и фактически «обезличены». Перед исследователями часто возникает вопрос, кто же был изображен на той или иной печати. В данной статье приведена попытка отождествить ряд изображений с определенными богами, опираясь не только на имеющиеся на печати или оттиске изображения, но также на их надписи. Библиогр. 24 назв.
